Fence Post Calculator

Post count is mainly driven by run length and on-center spacing. A simple formula is: posts = floor(length / spacing) + 1 for a single straight run, then add posts for corners, ends, and gate posts.

Example

A 96 ft straight run at 8 ft spacing needs 13 line-of-run posts (96/8 + 1). Two corners on a rectangular yard add more. Use the main calculator to include gates and waste.
